Create Scavenger Hunt

To start off your scavenger hunt, think of multiple questions/challenges that your player needs to solve. Each challenge should end up in some kind of answer or code to unlock the next challenge.

You can enter anything ranging from some quiz questions to setting up custom puzzles per challenge and share a code once you finish that puzzle.

You can customize the header question, the description, the image, an external link and of course the code to unlock the next challenge.

The colors and layout of the online scavenger hunt challenges can be customized via the styling menu and submenus.

While building your online scavenger hunt, you might discover that you would like to reorganise the sorting order of your challenges.

You can easily drag and drop the challenge to a new position by dragging the sorting icon.

The challenges will then become compact to allow for easier sorting.

You can customize the interactions of your online scavenger hunt in all sorts of ways.

1. You can pick the way external links will be opened (new tab or same window)
2. You can add a lockout period to combat 'code spamming'. This prevents entering too many guesses and will lock out the player after a number of wrong attempts and will lock the player for any given number of seconds.

If you would like to make your scavenger hunt feel like a real adventure, then this is the feature for you! Instead of showing the challenges in a single row, you can drag/drop them to a map of your choice.

Generate your own thematic adventure map with AI, add nice challenges and it will feel like a real online adventure.

A very useful feature within Puzzel.org to combine with the online scavenger hunts, is the 'Completion message'. This will pop up once a player completes a puzzle and can give any information you like. An external link, a code, a description, an image, whatever you can think of.

To make your scavenger hunt even more interesting to follow, you can add an unlock date/time for each challenge.

This way you can extend one scavenger hunt to last multiple days for instance, unlocking a fresh challenge at a certain time each day.

To create even more fun interactions with your scavenger hunt, try out the 'Play in teams' feature. It sets up team registrations and once you start the team battle, it will connect all of the team members.

Every time a team member enters a correct code for one of the challenges, it will synchronise this completed challenge with the rest of the team so that you can continue to the next challenge together.

Extra cool is the team dashboard that you have as the scavenger hunt owner. There you can see the progress of each team and monitor who finishes first!
